Chances are most guys are keen to arm drags, so when you go for one they recognize and defend. With collar drags it can be different in that every time you grab the collar you aren’t looking to drag, so it can catch people unaware. Another great place to try these is if your opponent is standing over you in open guard, if you rip hard enough it’s faceplant city for them.
