Ultimate Absolute NYC 2 – Brackets And Info

Under the watchful eye of one of the grappling community’s favorites, Renzo Gracie, the Ultimate Absolute is back again for the 2nd year. This time around the invite only mini-tournament features a lightweight group of no gi killers. The overall winner will take home $10,000, with $1,000 handed out per submission finished in the tournament. Encouraging subs? Yeah, we’ll take more of that please.

Last year’s tournament saw some sick action, including Vinny Magalhaes finishing a banana split on Daniel Gracie and Galvao taking home a pocket full of Franklins with the overall win. With the likes of Ryan Hall, Bruno Frazzatto, Celsinho, Wilson Reis, Denny Prokopos, and many more, this has the potential to be a killer. Weight class is 155 lbs and under. Fights begin at 4PM EST on 2/26 at the Hotel Pennsylvania in Manhattan, NYC. If you can’t make it, The Ultimate Absolute have posted on their Facebook page that they will be streaming it live on www.splitdraw.com and it looks like it will cost you $9.99.

Not sure if we’ll be able to get footage, but last year The Fight Nerd was there filming and dude always does an awesome job of coverage, so we’re hoping for more of the same.
